With the sun shining 320 days of the year, scarce precipitation, and winter temperatures no lower than in the teens with the hottest summer months in no higher than a bearable 29°C, the City of Marbella is among the favorite home and vacation spot in Europe among the rich and the not so rich.

Nestled between the sun-blessed beaches of Spain’s eastern Mediterranean coast and the dreary Sierra Blanca mountains to the west, its micro climate is just the perfect paradise for a leisure holiday enjoying a mild weather when all of Europe are blanketed in snow and rain in the winter months or sweltering in 40°C heat in the summer months.

But going from one place to another on foot can easily tire you even under the cool and balmy Mediterranean weather over a mere 44.1 square miles.  If you are brining your family or friends on a short holiday, be sure to hire a car or SUV to get around the city.

There are public buses and trains as well as cabs you can hail from the airport to your hotel, but ensuring the utmost privacy and getting the ride you need when you need it requires a car hire.

Places to go on a Short Visit

As the most popular holiday destination in Spain, Marbella boasts of a rich history dating back to the Roman conquest to the Moorish invasion of the peninsula and the fusion of these cultures can be seen in many of its city landmarks and its local culinary arts. The old historic town center preserves its Andalusian character with white washed edifices adorned with ornately curved wrought iron railing, Islam-inspired décor and majestic churches.

Its cobblestone streets lead to town plazas like the Plaza de los Naranjos lined with orange trees and where 18th century structures like the town hall still stands.  You can dine in its terrace café while breathing the Andalusian air of Marbella’s colorful past or you can just stroll on those cobbled streets leading to old castle ruins and old churches. Then there’s the Arabian wall left off by the Moorish invaders,  the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo,  the Playa de la Bajadilla (beach), Playa de Fontanilla (beach),  Puerto Banús, a marina built by José Banús where exotic Ferraris and Rolls-Royces meet yachts,  the Golden Mile which features the Marbella Club Hotel and its beach club, as well as the Encarnation’s Church (Iglesia de la Encarnación), the oldest church in the city situated in the old-town and the late King Fahad’s palace. And if you are partying far from your hotel or residence, you may be better off taking a one of the tourist hotels near these joints.  Many tourists prefer to stay in hotels nearer to their party joints or when visiting far off tourist attractions. There’s one Marbella hotel near Puerto Banus if you end up too drunk to drive back home to your hotel.

For some really fun nightlife disco-hopping from one pub to another, you can try out the Bambina along Pasaje 5, Caso Antiguo, the Clave Latina along La Teraza or get into a beach disco at the Niiki Beach at the Playa Hotel, Don Cantos.

Restaurants

Hotels and resorts as well as beaches abound in pubs and restaurants that offer the visitors a wide array of native Spanish cuisine that never fail to delight the epicurean tastes of its rich and discriminating tourist.  The La Meridiana along Camino de la Cruz is a 5-start restaurant that specials on Mediterranean cuisine.

The Sidreria Manolo along Tirso de Molina is a traditional Spanish inn with wood tables and brick walls that prove a cozy dining ambiance where you can enjoy native cuisine cooked in the traditional way. Dining in style should be match with a chauffeured limo.  If you and your family to have a night out, check your local car hire to get a stretch limo or SUV for the occasion.

If you’re in a city known to be frequented by the rich and famous, Marbella is not the place to be for shopaholics.  Here is where the rich can get poorer, just slightly though.  But it will be a real challenge to control yourself if you’re the typical tourist who just saved up for a week long vacation on a Mediterranean coat.  But not to worry, a €1,000 shopping purse can get you plenty to brag about when you get home. Converting that to the local Peso still won’t buy you a Gucci or a Bally but there all sorts of bargain basement shops f

Getting Around In Paris During My Business Trip

I was in France last month for my business trip. As my schedule has changed me, I had two days of time to get around Paris and the location close to see the view. I do not go into the tour bus as we were ordered back to the room without giving us the opportunity to spend more time with some of our favorite place.

So I booked a rental car, drive through carhirefrance , and now I must say that I really had time to visit many places easily and comfortably with my own time flexibility. booking process is simple, with few questions about my name, age, place of collection, date and time of collection, duration of rental and retail of abandonment. Once submitted a page with a list of car models with their pictures and prices seemed to compare prices. It helped me choose a car that fell into my budget and I paid for Collision Damage Waiver, theft waiver, waiver and accidents, etc.

I also took options for local taxes and VAT, and I had the car exactly as I have mentioned. GPS system and power steering has helped me to move easily.

Why do you have to pay extra rent after you have signed the rental contract?

Most of the car companies located in marbella are famous all round the world and they have their business spread over multiple countries. Yet some people often complain that that these car rental companies are cheats and frauds, snatching the money from the tourists illegally and taking undue advantage of the tourists.

These allegations are not at true. It is the tourists who are at faults as they are always in a hurry.

Some people say that the car rental companies in marbella have secret and hidden costs that are not portrayed and told while signing the rental contract. But this is not actually true.

The rental contract of any car companies include some advanced charges that are added along with the rent thus making the amount a hefty one. One of them is being the extra mileage charge.

Now what is a Mileage charge? Well, the any car would possibly require gasoline for its working and for running efficiently and smoothly. Now the car companies often declare a limit to the amount of gasoline that must be used while hiring the car for the day. Any usage of gasoline in excess of the stipulated rate may result in payment of the extra gasoline charges. Now, a tourist who never even bother to read the rental contract before signing may possible land up in trouble when he has to pay extra charges for hiring a car an he has no idea of why he is paying it.

Hence, clearly it is the fault of the tourist since he did not read the terms and conditions regarding the car hiring carefully. Every smallest detail about payment information is clearly written in the rental contract. Hence every tourist is suggested to go through the rental contract very carefully before signing the contract and hiring the car because if he refuses to do so, then he may land up on immense trouble in the near future.
